Crop fun!
I did a another bird house this past weekend at the KnK Club Sock Hop and will post pics of it tomorrow. One of the flowers did not survive the trip home so it needs a little TLC before I can show you. I really need to get over this obsession with birds...lol.

Found Goodies
Wherever I go, I am on the lookout for what I like to call "found goodies" and boy! did I hit a gold mine at Anthropology. Prior to heading out on the Hilltop Cruise, my room mate, Jill's, husband popped for two nights at a hotel for several of us near the Port of Tampa. We went shopping, of course, the second day and headed to Scrapbook Shoppe and then on to Hyde Park. Kristen and I had visited Hyde Park for lunch one day but did not make it to the shops.
My favorite had to be Anthropology with all the wonderful door knobs and door knockers, material, journals, file folders and on and on and one. I picked up two door pulls and the butterfly door knocker...and can't wait til I can get E to adapt them for me for the front of albums. Watch this spot!
We have company coming to town or I'd be knee deep in paper and glue right this minute! Hoping the old adage that good things are worth waiting for is true!

"Gilded" frame
(I am never sure how blogger is going to load these pictures so hoping for the best here). I posted a pic of this on my other blog but I know some people only read here!
I found this ornate frame at either TJ Maxx or Tuesday Morning and hid it in my cart like someone might grab it from me...lol. I had a foil package with glue from Bare Elements and a foil pen and I went to town. I mostly painted on the glue and used a cuticle like stick to adhere the foil. I am quite happy with the way this turned out and may even look for a companion frame for this one. These will be perfect for the guest room which is done in our family antiques.
Have a great day!

Welcome to March
These are the vintage imaged tees I made. Notice please that I included the paper company logo to give proper credit to the original designers. Graphic 45 is a paper line that has stolen my heart.
To make these tees, I cut out the images from the papers and arranged them the way I wanted them to appear on the tee shirts. I found that white or light colored tees work best. I ironed the tees before I began the process.
I scanned the images and then printed the scans onto tee shirt transfer paper that is readily available at craft and sewing stores. There are several different kinds so be sure to read the directions. Some of these go on the tees in the opposite of what you see the image so again, read the directions!
I trimmed around the images and ironed them onto the tees. Voila
I will be ON VACATION from March 7-12 on a cruise to Mexico (the prototype for the class I am teaching is on my other blog (www.postingfromparadise.blogspot.com). And then I am off to Savannah, Ga for St. Pat's with several of our friends. Son will be house/cat sitting so I can sleep with ease!
Thanks for visiting my blog!
