Sketch~N~Scrap 3rd. sketch

I had lots and lots of fun scrapping to the three layout sketches for this month at Sketch~N~Scrap.  The site also has card sketches and, while I am not much of a card maker as I am a layout person, some of the card sketches could easily be converted into a stunning layout!

Here is the 3rd. sketch

And this is my interpretation of it.  The twins were only a bit over a year old when I took these photos.  It is so hard to believe they turned five just a couple of weeks ago.

Talk about a way to start using up my stash and catch up on some older pictures for my albums.

Second Sketch from Sketch~N~Scrap

Here is the sketch from Sketch~N~Scrap and my interpretation follows.  As always, thanks so much for looking!

And one more to go...tomorrow!

Sketch Layouts from Sketch~N~Scrap

A friend of mine, Brandy Williams, just made the design team at Sketch~N~Scrap's challenge group and, when I checked it out and congratulated her and the others who made the team, I saw some of the sketches and was inspired.  Over the last two days, I have been scrapping up a storm and finished (that is the key word here) a layout for each of the 3 sketches on the site.

Here is the first one

And here is my interpretation of the sketch....starring, Leighton, of course, in her new tutu swim suit!

I'll be posting the other two some time today or tomorrow.  Thank you to Sketch~N~Snap for helping me get my mojo back.

Gecko Galz June Fun

There is something new and fun happening this month at Gecko Galz...a free digital stamp give away on each designer's blog.  Here is the freebie from Gecko Galz for you!

And this stamp is just in time for summer vacations.  I plan on using this as a travel journal cover for an upcoming cruise to the Caribbean my husband and I have coming up in Oct.  Meanwhile, here are my projects for June using the products and kits from Gecko Galz this month.

To make this card, I printed the teacup, spoon and "cafe" digital downloads onto vellum.  The tag was printed onto Studio 71 canvas.  I used soft pencils on the fabric tag and painted color onto the back of the vellum pieces.

And here is my second project using the digital paper and an image from the lovely ladies collage set.  The lady is printed onto vellum to give her an other worldly appearence, the paper onto card stock and the circle icon onto card stock as well. I added the lace around the icon and used a soft pencil on the reverse side to enhance the flowers in the lady's hair and on the front side, added a small sparkle to the center of each flower.

As always, thank you for looking!
