Gecko Galz June designs are up....

Check mine out here.  It is good to be back working with the wonderful products that are available for purchase at Gecko Galz. 

 The image above was printed onto iron on fabric and then ironed onto inked canvas.

 

I printed the fair maiden image onto vellum and used colored pencils and metallic inks to enhance the "peek a boo" card and, when opened, the light illuminated the image.

All About a Boy Challenge for June 15

All About a Girl challenge for June 15

This is the second challenge for this month for the All About a Girl.  This time around the challenge wants bold colors and designs.  Check HERE for details.  Here is my take on the challenge.

 

Leighton might not have much hair but she sure has a lot of sassy (in a good way) attitude!  I used the package display of the papers included in the paper pack and cut them to points.  I am a true "use it all" kind of scrapper!

I have been working on some altered things too but took a brief break after the all day Cheeky Chics' fund raiser cyber crop for OK tornado relief that three friends and I organized.  I am so pleased to say that we raised a considerable amount of money and we are still getting donations!  Scrappers are the best people; don't you agree?

 

It's About a Girl June 1 challenge

I love these challenges.  Thanks to them I am getting at least 2 if not more layouts done a month about Leighton  and 2 plus for the boys from the It's About the Boy challenge blog.  We were challenged to use a doilie on a layout.  I decided to use the large dinner table doilie instead of the round one as I was more inspired by the shape and design than the round ones.  I did get some round ones too for play.  For the complete details on the challenge, go HERE.

Here is my take on this June 1 challenge

This picture was taken last Easter.  While Leighton did not find tons of eggs on the egg hunt, she did find two of the cats' toys.  And, if you think she looks disappointed here, you should have seen the cats.  Those are their favorite toys! lol. 

I decided rather than cut the doilie and the insert I made, I would simply fold them over to the back of the layout and create the start of a second layout to continue the Easter pictures for Leighton's album.

I hate to waste good paper and often do two sided layouts.  I use D ring 12x12 albums and I take the paper out of the page protectors allowing both sides to show.  I'll post the back side of this layout when I get it finished.  As always, thanks for looking!

It's All About a Boy June 1 Challenge

For this challenge, we were asked to scrap our boy(s) favorite summer activity.  I not only did this layout for the All About A Boy challenge but went on to do about four more getting caught up a bit on the boys beach visit last summer.  You can see the details of the challenge HERE.  Of course, this is our Landon down at Estero Beach Club where we all have time shares .  The boys loved the front pool at our resort as they could walk up and down the stairs in the water and play.  They had finished their first round of swim lessons and loved to show off their skills.  I'll post the other four layouts when I put the finishing touches on them...meanwhile, thanks for looking. 

I've also been working on a few altered projects and will post those soon, I promise.  School is out soon and Nana will have a bit more time to play.
