Blog banner

I've had a couple of e-mails asking about my banner. Everything on my banner I either inherited (the doll which was my grandmother's, the shaving mug that belonged to my grandfather and the scrap album which my grandmother kept) or made (the altered martini glass, the torso etc.) So, there is the answer! lol

More goodies coming

I promise. Been working like a mad woman lately and the days keep slipping through my fingers.

Saucy and fun

Gerri-ann Duke has the new Graphic 45 papers in the knk store and I ordered one of each. She brought them to me at Winter Retreat and I've been happily playing ever since. This is a card I made and will send to one of the Smoochie Girls, who are all a bit on the wild and naughty side and a lot vampy. I may have to make several of these cards!

Photo transfers

I've been playing with one of my favorite techniques, photo transfers, and using one of my favorite mediums for this, kraft tags. This is going to be my technique at Knkclub.com for March 1.

Another fun thing I have been doing is making my own vintage image tee shirts! Can't wait to show you these!

And I've added a couple of new links to places that I love! Artful Illusions/Mrs. O'Leary's Art and Graphic 45 Papers. Check them out!

Been busy...

KnKclub.com featured Graphic 45 papers in the Feb. kit and I went to town. I've been working on a family album of my grandparents and other relatives with my stash of old photos trying to document the past. I am also working on an album about my grandmother who was quite a memorable woman. These papers enabled me to add two more layouts to the albums.

I also worked with a butterfly shaped album that can be found in the KnK store. Since the papers featured flowers, shells and butterflies, I used pictures from my garden in this album.

Sat. at KnK, we had "Create the Love" with various members of the DT each posting a Valentine card, tag or project and then offering up a challenge to the membership with 3 prizes. I had a Valentine in mind but found this bare naked wooden Whirl a Gig at a craft store and had a blast. I am thinking I'll put terms of endearment on each of the blades with rub-ons and give it to my honey instead of a card.

I've got two projects on my desk I want to finish and then start something new. Have a great day and, for heaven's sake, create something! lol

Vintage Valentines for you

I inherited both my my great aunt (see my other blog for a picture of my great aunt Mayme) and my aunt Marion's postcard collection. Some of my great aunt's go back to the early 1900s and many of my Aunt Marion's are from the 50s and 60s. Help your self...please right click on the image and then click on "save image as" to your computer.

This is my Valentine's gift to you! Enjoy!
