That Boy! Sketches in Thyme

I used sketch no. 193 by Sara Mishler to create this layout of my grandson, Landon.  Of the twins, he is the more quiet one but he does have a wicked sense of humor.  He is our prankster for sure.

Using up my (embarrassingly substantial) stash

This old Prima paper with the built in embroidery along with trim and lace was just perfect for Leighton's Easter hat picture.

and a few of the details....

Play Time

I started a tiny box with pull out at a crop at my house last month and just finished it up today.  Love this new G45 Voyage Under the Sea papers.  The little box ( 3 1/4 x 2 3/4 x 1 inches) came from Sommerset eons ago.  Glittered this up and really happy with how it turned out.

March layout for Sketches in Thyme

For my March layout based on the sketch, I used mostly Maja Design papers and printed the photos onto canvas paper.  Check out how I did this and enhanced the sepia toned canvas pictures HERE.

Here is the layout of my beautiful grand daughter when she was a baby.

And here are some close ups of the detail work I did.  The butterfly wings are held open by a dab of Hermaix liquid glue dots.  They take a bit to dry but are wonderful.

I used a soft tipped colored pencil to add just a bit of color to the eyes and the headband and flower.

While you are on the blog, check out the great prize offered for this month and the work of my fellow Mavens.  Thanks for looking.

My Smash up and take on Brenda's sketch at Sketches in Thyme. When the twins were born, one of my daughter's co teachers starting calling them the B.O.G.O. Boys and we thought it was so cute. The twins are now five and were three in these school pictures.

I love scrapping pictures of the Grands as I can really tell how much they have grown and changed.  This is a current pic of the boys now.

More to come soon of Leighton, I promise.
