For more information on these two projects of mine, please go HERE.  I posted them on the wrong blog.  Sorry about that.

It's All About the Girl...oh YES it is !

I've been doing a lot of challenges lately and It's All About the Girl (the sister site...no pun intended...to It's All About the Boy) is having a mini challenge that was right up my alley.  The sketch was perfect for the pics I took of Leighton Kay on our way home from Montessori  school the other day.  She was working those shades.  Love this little chickie!

I have had this picture of Leighton for about a week and have been looking for the right papers, the perfect embellishments...you know what I mean.  And today, when the Women Who Do Lunch cropped at Cynthia's, it all came together for me.

Leighton insisted on wearing her back pack to the car just like her "big" brothers do.  She has good 'attitude'!
I 'painted' the butterflies with Crystal Lacquer so they would resume their shape.

Scrapped nothing but the Grands this past weekend

I went to the Cheeky Chics Spring Fling crop this past weekend with full intentions of finishing off the Winter Park album.  After all, we were only there for three days and the trip was almost three years ago.  So, did I get it done? Nope! Not a single layout.  Instead, I scrapped the Grands from dawn to dusk and beyond.  I did fill in some missing moments in the their albums, scrapped a few from this Easter and had tons of fun in the process.  Dee Wishart and JD Rude throw a great crop and I can not wait for the next one I can attend.  I posted these on Face book but was reminded by a friend that they do not use Face book so here they are for her and any others like her.  Thanks for looking!
I used up a lot of my stash too.  I made these fabric flowers about three years ago using the Tim Holtz distressed flowers die.

Leighton's first summer at the beach last July.
This picture is from this past Easter.  I know this will come back to haunt her when she is a teen ager...could not resist snapping the photo when she had her finger up her nose! lol
One of my favorite photos of her.  She was about 9 months here.
I love this photo of Landon and his "lovey" Arf Arf.  He has to sleep with this one or one I gave him.
This was taken before the twins' baby sister was in the picture.
The boys had to be about a year old here.  Their mama got this shot and I love the hair!
Now, perhaps I can get back to the Winter Park album or the Savannah one or the trip to Italy or maybe the Med cruise one...so many photos.

Challenge #2 at All About A Boy

Challenges go up at the All About A Boy blog on the 1st and the 15th. of the month.  The challenge is to show off your little guy's art work.  The twins love to color and this is how we get them to eat all their breakfast every morning that we care for them.  If they finish it all, they get to color.  They know all the names of the colors and crayons are their friends...lol. This is artwork in progress.

Scrapping again

I have been falling behind in the twins album and that of Leighton as well but, thanks to a challenge blog I found this morning, About A Boy and its sister sight (no pun intended) About A Girl, I believe I will make lots of progress.  The challenge for the first of the month at About A Boy was chevrons and this is my take on the challenge.  The one starting today is artists.  I need to get over to the About a Girl challenge blog and try to catch up there as well.

I've also been working on some other altered projects and will post them as I finish them.  This has been a pretty productive day for me.
As always, thanks for looking!

Star #1

I'm easing my way back into altering with these lovely distressed stars that I found at Tampa Bay Salvage.  I've been doing more scrapping lately than altering trying to make some headway into the Aus/NZ trip.  I'll post some of those here when the finishing touches are in.

I want to do a few more of these stars adding some color to them with the Viva paints and stains.  Watch this spot.

Almost over the jet lag

and last night I dreamed of making things and lace and pearls and pretties so it won't be long til I play again.  Going to the birthday party of Tampa Bay Upscale Sat. in Ybor City with the Women Who Do Lunch Bunch and I am certain I will come away inspired to say the least.

I think I want to play some later this week with the tarnished metal stars I bought before we left on our trip at Tampa Bay Salvage here in Tarpon Springs...so bring on the lace, pearls  and some paints, of course.

'til later....
