Family 2011 (dimensional layout in a shadow box)

.

This is a Christmas present for the kids. It is a pretty safe bet they won't see it here so I am safe posting it. I used 12x12 canvas paper, gesso applied with an artist's spatula, Tim Holtz Stains, tiny glass bottles and hand dyed ribbon.

If you live in the Tampa area, I will be teaching this as a class in October
at Posh Scraps Date to be announced soon.

As always, thanks so very much for looking!

A lovely piece of memory art.
Yesterday evening I completed another postcard for the swap which I will mail this week. Having such fun.

You've outdone yourself! From the hand dyed ribbon, which has such gorgeous colors, to the message in the bottle, it's fantastic. The canvas texture is a very cool looking technique. What a wonderful gift!

I love this, so pretty! I love the way you applied the gesso and the tiny bottles are so cute. I am sure they will love it and it's a good bet my kids don't read my blog either, lol.
