ACOT Altered Challenge for June

Each month at A Cherry on Top, the members of the Creative Teams each post a challenge. I do a monthly altered object one. I try to challenge the gals on the message board to use common household objects in new ways through altering.

This month my challenge was to use tissue paper to create an embellishment or paper or card .

To make mine, I crunched up some patterned paper and placed it on a precut card that I sprayed with an adhesive. I used a brayer over the paper and a gold stamp pad over the crinkles that resulted to add some interest and texture.

The flower is 3 circles rough cut and pinched from the back. I scrunched the edges of each layer and put a brad through the center to keep the layers together. This is a general occasion card.

Check out the rest of the challenges. And say hello to our newest creative design team member, Janet Miller who is joining us with her signature stitching, her amazing journaling and her keen eye for color and design. Congrats pal!

Cute card Jules! I would love to try this since I hardly ever use my brayer - it needs to be put to work!
