A Cherry on Top Reveal: Altered drawer organizer

DSC00037

I found this drawer organizer at a home goods store a while back thinking it would be a good way to keep my ink pads grouped in their drawer. Alas! It didn't fit so I turned it into something else...a shadow box for my small but every growing collection of tiny and not so tiny bottles.

I used the Shimmerz paint in pink to covert the beige fabric on the outsides of the organizer into a soft glowing color, lined the backs of the shelves with lawyers of Tim Holtz' papers from his Vintage Shabby Paper Stack, added brads from KI and lace by Melissa Francis. All of these can be purchased at A Cherry on Top. The French hand dyed ribbon around the larger bottle came from Rainbow's End, in Dunedin, Florida.

Thank you for looking.
