On Vacation

I leave Friday (July 9) for a girls' weekend in N. Carolina and on to the beach for two weeks from there. House sitter comes tomorrow but he doesn't do paper and glue...lol. I hope to be inspired by all the lovely scenery and am taking my lap top and some supplies so watch this spot! Thanks to all who read here and say such kind things about my creations. Your comments are very appreciated.

The Shrine went postal to Somerset Home. It was like sending a child off to summer camp...lol. Won't know for sure on publication until March or April of '10 but am hopeful the editor who requested it, likes it as well IRL as she did in the photos.

Have a great day!

Five Minute Tri Fold Card

Step One: cut card stock to measure 6x12. With 12 side horizontal, use a ruler to mark from the left: 2 inches, 4 1/4 inches, 8 1/4 inches, and 10 inches.

Step Two: score on the marks using the scoring blade for you cutter or a metal edged ruler and a bone folder. Fold the inside two scores inward and the outer two outward forming two flaps as per the photo of the inside of the card above.

Step Three: secure ribbons pieces to each side of the outer two flaps with strong adhesive. Cut pieces of patterned paper to cover each of the flaps. Decorate the inside to suit and add trim to outer flaps. Tie ribbon and voila!

These cards are deceptively easy to make and so impressive. I generally make a couple of them at a time with scraps. These were from the July KnKclub.com kit from which I did 4 layouts, a mini album and this card and I still have enough product to do another card/tag. The layouts and mini album are posted on my other blog www.postingfromparadise.blogspot.com

Thanks for looking and I'd love to see any you might make using these directions.

This one is for you, Jadee

We are sure going to miss Jadee and her two daughters this summer at the beach in Ft. Myers so, using the G45 papers, I made her this card to let her know how much E and I miss her. Smoochies, Jadee, Hanna and Paige!
